These earrings are a beautiful blend of traditional porcupine quillwork and contemporary statement jewellery. 🤍

The centre features natural white porcupine quills arranged in a delicate, flowing pattern, framed with soft ivory beads and warm hide. A small pearl-like drop adds an elegant touch, while the long white feathers create beautiful movement when worn.

I began creating this pair at the Moosehide Gathering in Dawson City while teaching porcupine quillwork. Their design came to represent the beautiful waters surrounding Moosehide, the gentle movement, ripples, and flowing currents of the river.

I named them “Softly Flowing Current,” carrying a little memory of Moosehide, the land, the water, and the beautiful experience of gathering and sharing knowledge there. 🤍

Materials: Home-tanned hide, quills, antique beads, vintage beads, silver findings, crystal-set silver hoops, natural green pearls, & soft white feathers
